Dion earned his MFA in Acting from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. His theater history includes Shakespeare in the Park, The Public Theater and The Guthrie.

His voice-overs and on-camera national commercials include clients like Sprint, Virgin Mobile and Verizon. In 2020 Dion and his comedy partner Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother,) will continue performing their stage show Clanging: Verbal Jazz.
